The Avenues are fast becoming a cultural hub in the City of Hull. The glass conservatory and wildlife pond are natural hives for a multiplicity of life forms, including frogs and birds. With refreshments available in the café, as well as a lovely scented herb garden and vegetable patch, the park can be a great way to spend a day. The poet Philip Larkin is said to have drawn a lot of his inspiration from the setting, and living near the park would open up great opportunities for refreshing morning strolls.
Whilst the Avenue itself offers an abundance of convenient stores and exciting activity, Hull’s centre is only a short walk or bus journey away – making it an ideal choice for those who commute into the town on a regular basis. The university can also be easily reached from the Avenue, and whilst most students opt for the Newland area as their accommodation, Princes is the perfect option for those who would rather live on the outskirts of the undergraduate bubble.
A vibrant nightlife can also be enjoyed whilst living in the area. The array of bustling bars and eateries are just a stone’s throw away, creating an extremely popular social spot for young and old alike. Nonetheless, the long residential streets running away from the Avenue mean little disturbance for those who prefer a quiet night in.

With its good transport links, striking natural surroundings and thriving nightlife, the area offers the best of all worlds.
